Responsibilities
- Lead DMAIC Projects: Spearhead the Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, and Control (DMAIC) process to identify root causes of defects and implement sustainable solutions.
- Statistical Analysis: Utilize advanced statistical tools (Minitab, JMP, or R) to analyze process data, validate hypotheses, and drive evidence-based decision-making.
- Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, and guide Green Belt and Black Belt candidates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and data literacy within the organization.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, supply chain, and management teams to align process improvement initiatives with broader business objectives.
- Cost Reduction: Identify and quantify cost-saving opportunities through waste reduction, cycle time optimization, and defect prevention strategies.
- Change Management: Drive the adoption of new processes and technologies, overcoming resistance and ensuring long-term sustainability of implemented changes.
- Reporting: Generate comprehensive project reports and dashboards to communicate progress, ROI, and key performance indicators to executive leadership.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Statistics, or a related field is required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Certification: Six Sigma Black Belt certification (CSSBB or equivalent) is mandatory. Green Belt certification with significant Black Belt project experience may be considered.
- Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in process improvement, quality assurance, or operations management within a complex manufacturing or service environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical software (Minitab, JMP, SAS, or SQL) and project management methodologies (PMP/Agile).
- Analytical Mindset: Exceptional ability to interpret complex data sets and translate them into actionable business insights.
- Communication: Superior verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.
