Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and triggers.
- Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to support advanced reporting and BI solutions.
- Implement and maintain database security, integrity, and backup/restore procedures.
- Conduct performance tuning and capacity planning to ensure high availability.
- Document database architecture and technical specifications for the engineering team.
- Lead code reviews and mentor junior database developers.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience with SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server).
- Deep understanding of indexing strategies, query execution plans, and normalization.
- Experience with ETL tools (e.g., Informatica, Talend) and data warehousing concepts (Snowflake/Redshift).
- Strong scripting skills in Python or Bash for automation tasks.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
