Responsibilities
- Lead Infrastructure Projects: Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of technical projects, including stadium network upgrades, broadcast integration, and IoT deployments.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks across technical delivery chains to ensure zero downtime during the event.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for technical stakeholders, including FIFA officials, venue operators, and internal engineering teams.
- Agile Execution: Manage sprint cycles, deliverables, and timelines using Agile/Scrum methodologies to ensure rapid, high-quality development.
- Vendor Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with third-party technology providers and infrastructure partners.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all technical implementations adhere to international broadcasting standards and security protocols.
- On-Site Operations: Provide on-the-ground technical leadership and crisis management support during pre-event testing and the main event.
Qualifications
- Experience: 10+ years of experience in Technical Project Management or Program Management within the IT or Telecommunications sector.
- Scale: Proven track record managing large-scale infrastructure projects with budgets exceeding $50M.
- Certifications: PMP, PgMP, or Prince2 certification is highly preferred.
- Event Experience: Demonstrated experience working on major global sporting events, large-scale construction, or critical infrastructure projects.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of network protocols, cloud architecture, broadcasting technology, and stadium AV systems.
- Communication: Exceptional stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical executives.
- Flexibility: Willingness to travel to venue sites across the US for testing and implementation phases.
