Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone and in-person patient assessments using evidence-based triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate patient disposition and care pathways
- Document clinical encounters accurately in Epic EMR systems with precision and timeliness
- Provide compassionate guidance to patients and families during high-stress situations
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and hospital emergency protocols
- Train and mentor junior triage staff on best practices and critical decision-making
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives for emergency department workflows
Qualifications
- Active RN license in California with minimum 5 years emergency/urgent care experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required; CEN or ENPC preferred
- Expertise in rapid assessment of adult, pediatric, and geriatric populations
- Proven ability to manage high-volume call centers with complex patient scenarios
- Exceptional communication skills with demonstrated crisis management abilities
- Experience with Epic EMR and telehealth triage platforms
- Master's degree in Nursing or relevant certification preferred
