Responsibilities
- Assess incoming patients using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Coordinate with ER physicians and specialists for rapid patient prioritization
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Provide telehealth triage support during peak hours
- Mentor junior nursing staff on triage best practices
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years ER/urgent care experience
- Valid California RN license (CA RN)
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Strong clinical judgment in high-pressure situations
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
