Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize emergency cases using evidence-based triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Document patient encounters accurately in electronic health records (EHR)
- Provide education to patients and families regarding treatment protocols
- Monitor vital signs and detect critical changes requiring immediate intervention
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and hospital regulatory standards
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with 5+ years of emergency/trauma experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or MSN degree preferred
- Proven expertise in rapid patient assessment and decision-making
- Exceptional communication and de-escalation skills
- Experience with Epic EHR systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
