Responsibilities
- Monitor and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide basic nursing care and support under the direct supervision of registered nurses and charge nurses.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients and visitors at all times.
- Communicate any changes in a patient's condition or concerns to the nursing staff immediately.
- Administer prescribed medications and document all treatments, procedures, and patient observations.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to patients and their families during their stay.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (CNA1) in California.
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED).
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers.
- Previous experience in a hospital or long-term care setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift patients as needed.
- Compassionate demeanor with a genuine passion for patient care.
