What You Will Do:
Your role is vital in ensuring our patients have a positive experience from check-in to check-out. You will assist with a variety of clinical procedures and help maintain our high standards of hygiene and organization.
Responsibilities
- Chairside Assistance: Assist the lead dentist and hygienist during examinations and treatments, ensuring patient comfort and positioning.
- Patient Care: Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) and perform intraoral photography.
- Instrument Preparation: Prepare instruments, materials, and medication for procedures as directed by the dentist.
- Sterilization & Hygiene: Strictly adhere to infection control protocols, sterilizing and organizing instruments to maintain a safe environment.
- Administrative Support: Greet patients, update medical records, and process payments efficiently.
- Patient Education: Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and post-operative care instructions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or Dental Assistant (DA) license in the state of California.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a dental setting is preferred.
- Skills: Proficient in four-handed dentistry and dental radiography.
- Soft Skills: Strong communication skills with a friendly, patient-centered demeanor.
- CPR: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Tools: Ability to use dental software and electronic health records (EHR) systems.
