Responsibilities
- Assess, monitor, and document patient vital signs during cardiovascular procedures
- Administer medications and perform patient education on cardiac conditions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop patient care plans
- Maintain sterile environments during invasive cardiac procedures
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid intervention protocols
- Document electronic health records with precision and timeliness
- Mentor new nursing staff and uphold quality standards
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- BSN degree (ADN candidates with 2+ years cardiac experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 1 year acute care or cardiovascular experience
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response skills
- Excellent communication and patient advocacy abilities
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts including weekends/holidays
