Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and instruments before surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with OSHA and hospital protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after procedures
- Operate and troubleshoot advanced surgical equipment including robotic systems
- Manage inventory and sterilization of surgical instruments
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience in general OR
- BLS/CPR certification and current state license
- Proficiency with robotic surgical systems (e.g., da Vinci)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
