Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields for diverse surgical specialties
- Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons during procedures
- Maintain strict aseptic technique and sterilization protocols
- Assist in patient positioning and draping
- Manage surgical equipment and inventory efficiently
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless care
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience
- Proficiency in major surgical subspecialties (Ortho, Neuro, General)
- Strong knowledge of sterilization standards and safety protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to adapt quickly to emergency cases
- Current BLS/CPR certification
