Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments, equipment, and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Monitor inventory levels and restock supplies
- Adhere to strict sterilization protocols and infection control standards
- Document procedural activities accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with surgical team to ensure seamless workflow
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Knowledge of sterile processing and instrumentation
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Experience with multiple surgical specialties preferred
