Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterile fields before procedures
- Hand instruments to surgeons during surgeries
- Maintain sterile environments and equipment
- Assist with patient positioning and draping
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/after procedures
- Process and sterilize surgical equipment
- Document surgical inventory and equipment status
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary
- Basic understanding of medical terminology preferred
- Ability to stand for extended periods (4+ hours)
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Commitment to completing the training program
