Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce aseptic techniques
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/after surgery
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms safely
- Operate sterilization equipment and manage inventory
- Document procedural details accurately in EMR systems
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- 2+ years recent surgical tech experience
- BLS certification with current AHA certification
- Knowledge of all surgical specialties (ortho, neuro, general)
- Ability to stand 8+ hours and lift 50+ lbs
- Proficiency with surgical equipment sterilization protocols
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work day/evening/weekend shifts
