Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Document procedures and maintain accurate surgical records
- Transport patients to/from operating rooms safely
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize workflow efficiency
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program certification or equivalent
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of hospital OR experience
- Expertise in sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- BLS certification with current renewal date
- Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation
- Ability to thrive in high-pressure emergency situations
