Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by setting up instruments, drapes, and sterile supplies.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sterile supplies.
- Maintain a sterile field and strictly adhere to aseptic techniques and safety protocols.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is left in the patient's wound.
- Transport patients to and from the operating suite with care and professionalism.
- Ensure operating rooms are cleaned and restocked after each procedure.
- Monitor patient vitals and report any abnormalities to the circulating nurse.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Basic computer literacy is preferred.
- Excellent physical stamina and the ability to stand for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex instructions.
- Willingness to obtain Surgical Technology certification (CST) if not already held.
- Professional demeanor and strong teamwork skills.
