Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments, equipment, and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining a sterile field.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff or surgeon immediately.
- Ensure all surgical equipment is sterilized and functioning correctly.
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock as needed.
- Transport patients to and from the operating room safely.
Qualifications:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Certified Surgical Technician (CST) credential by the NBSTSA (required).
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications.
- Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques and sterile processing procedures.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
