Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and ensure compliance with infection control protocols
- Transport patients and specimens between operating rooms and recovery areas
- Inventory surgical supplies and restock inventory post-procedure
- Document procedural details accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nurses and surgeons to optimize surgical workflow
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary
- Ability to obtain Surgical Technologist certification within 12 months of hire
