Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and setting up sterile fields
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before/after procedures
- Transport patients to/from surgical suites and monitor vital signs
- Inventory and restock operating room supplies and equipment
- Document procedural details and maintain patient records
Qualifications
- Accredited Surgical Technology program graduate or equivalent military training
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 1 year OR experience preferred (new graduates welcome)
- BLS certification from AHA or equivalent
- Ability to stand for 8+ hours and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and team collaboration skills
