Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory analysis
- Monitor inventory and order surgical supplies
- Adhere to strict infection control and safety protocols
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Maintain equipment functionality through proper sterilization techniques
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- CPR certification required (provided if needed)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Commitment to completing paid training program (12 weeks)
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Basic computer literacy
- Valid Texas driver's license preferred
