Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by arranging instruments, equipment, and supplies, ensuring everything is sterile and ready for procedures.
- Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical operations by passing instruments and materials efficiently.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and sterile processing protocols to prevent infection.
- Monitor patient conditions throughout surgical procedures, alerting the team to any changes.
- Handle and dispose of surgical specimens and waste in compliance with safety regulations.
- Position patients safely and transport them to and from the operating suite.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Willingness to enroll in and complete our paid Surgical Technology training program.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to learn hospital management systems.
- Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
- Physical stamina required to stand for long periods and assist with patient movement.
