Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Transport patients and specimens between surgical areas
- Inventory and restock surgical supplies
- Document procedures and maintain equipment logs
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- No prior surgical experience necessary
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic computer literacy and documentation skills
- Pass background check and pre-employment physical
- Must complete 6-month paid training program
- Commitment to obtaining AST certification within 12 months
