Responsibilities
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Prepare operating rooms and surgical equipment before procedures
- Handle and sterilize surgical instruments according to protocols
- Monitor patient vital signs and document surgical events
- Apply sterile dressings and wound care post-procedure
- Manage surgical inventory and equipment maintenance
- Comply with OSHA and Joint Commission standards
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- Basic computer literacy and documentation skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ pounds
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Commitment to complete 16-week paid training program
- Pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
