Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Monitor patient vital signs and document surgical case progress
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock operating rooms
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and infection control protocols
- Transport patients and specimens between departments safely
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical experience preferred
- Graduate from accredited surgical technology program
- BLS/CPR certification maintained
- Knowledge of major surgical specialties (orthopedic, general, etc.)
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
