Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Document surgical cases and maintain electronic health records remotely
- Inventory and restock surgical supplies
- Transport patients and specimens safely
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for seamless care delivery
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience in general surgery
- BLS/CPR certification
- Proficiency with electronic documentation systems (remote access provided)
- Knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50 lbs
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work evenings/weekends on-call rotations
