Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies for surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle surgical specimens and ensure proper documentation protocols
- Perform remote inventory management and equipment sterilization tracking
- Collaborate with surgical teams to optimize procedural efficiency
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and AORN standards
- Participate in virtual continuing education and team meetings
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of surgical tech experience in OR setting
- Proficiency in sterile processing and instrument handling
- Ability to work hybrid schedule (70% on-site, 30% remote)
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and anatomy
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Current BLS certification
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems
