Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging surgical instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and maintaining sterile fields
- Handle specimens for laboratory analysis and ensure proper documentation
- Manage inventory of surgical supplies and restock operating rooms
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety standards
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams to ensure seamless surgical workflows
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years of recent surgical tech experience
- Expert knowledge in sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Experience with major surgical specialties (orthopedic, neuro, general)
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- BLS/CPR certification
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
