Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms with sterile equipment and supplies
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrumentation and wound closure
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce safety protocols
- Handle surgical specimens for laboratory processing
- Inventory and manage surgical equipment inventory
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams
- Document procedural outcomes accurately
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required
- Minimum 2 years OR experience preferred
- BLS certification current or obtainable within 30 days
- Experience with general, orthopedic, and neurosurgical cases
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing standards
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Tennessee Surgical Tech license required
