Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures by sterilizing equipment and setting up instruments.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and supplies, maintaining a sterile field.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is left in the patient.
- Monitor patient vital signs and maintain accurate medical records.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the surgical process.
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a hospital or surgical setting.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (ACLS preferred).
- Strong knowledge of surgical anatomy and aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
