Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain sterile fields using provided advanced surgical equipment
- Assist surgeons with instrument passing and equipment operation during procedures
- Handle sterilization and maintenance of provided surgical instruments per protocol
- Coordinate with the surgical team to ensure seamless equipment availability
- Document equipment usage and inventory for optimal resource management
- Maintain strict compliance with OSHA and safety standards for provided equipment
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- 1+ years of experience in sterile processing and equipment handling
- Proficiency with provided surgical equipment (endoscopes, power tools, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of sterile techniques and aseptic protocols
- Ability to troubleshoot basic equipment malfunctions
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-pressure environments
- Flexibility to work rotating shifts including weekends/on-call
