Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterile fields, and surgical equipment
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Handle surgical specimens and equipment decontamination
- Transport patients and equipment safely within surgical suites
- Document procedures accurately and maintain inventory logs
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- No prior surgical tech experience necessary
- Completion of accredited Surgical Technology program preferred
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 50+ lbs
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Valid BLS/CPR certification (training provided)
