Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and arranging sterile instruments
- Assist surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies
- Maintain sterile fields and enforce safety protocols in all surgical settings
- Document procedures and inventory supplies using remote EMR systems
- Collaborate with surgical teams via virtual pre-op planning sessions
- Manage equipment sterilization and maintenance records digitally
- Provide remote post-op equipment preparation and inventory updates
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required
- Minimum 2 years OR experience in scrub tech role
- Proficiency in sterile processing and aseptic techniques
- Familiarity with EMR systems for remote documentation
- BLS/CPR certification with current status
- Ability to travel to Durham facilities for on-site rotations
- Strong organizational skills for hybrid work model
