Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms, sterilize equipment, and arrange surgical instruments per surgeon specifications
- Assist surgeons during procedures including passing instruments, suturing, and wound closure
- Maintain sterile environments and enforce infection control protocols
- Document surgical procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with anesthesia and nursing teams for seamless patient care
- Manage surgical inventory and equipment maintenance
- Participate in remote surgical case preparation and equipment setup
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent certification required
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR experience in general surgery
- Proficiency in sterile processing and surgical equipment handling
- Ability to work independently during remote preparation phases
- Strong communication skills for hybrid team coordination
- BLS/CPR certification and current Oklahoma license
- Experience with EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
- Ability to adapt to flexible on-site/remote schedule
