Responsibilities
- Prepare sterile operating rooms and surgical equipment according to protocols
- Assist surgeons during procedures with instrument passing and sterile field maintenance
- Coordinate remote pre-op documentation and supply logistics via telehealth systems
- Ensure proper sterilization and handling of surgical instruments per OSHA standards
- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) documentation remotely
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams via virtual platforms for case preparation
Qualifications
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or equivalent credential required
- Minimum 2 years recent operating room experience in general surgery
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote documentation systems
- Ability to work independently while maintaining strict sterile technique
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation
- Excellent communication skills for hybrid team collaboration
- Current BLS certification
