Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment prior to procedures.
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and sponges quickly and accurately.
- Ensure sterile field is maintained throughout the surgical procedure.
- Prepare patients for surgery, including washing, anesthetizing, and positioning them on the operating table.
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments to ensure nothing is left in the surgical wound.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the surgical team immediately.
- Document patient medical histories and assist in the transfer of patients to recovery.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Enthusiastic attitude with a strong desire to enter the medical field.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic computer literacy and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation (for clinical rotations).
- Candidates must be willing to complete our paid training curriculum to become certified.
