Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care across diverse medical-surgical units using evidence-based practices
- Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and document electronic health records accurately
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Mentor new staff and participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to emergency situations with rapid assessment and intervention skills
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO standards and hospital policies
Qualifications
- Current Nebraska RN license or compact state eligibility
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered)
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Minimum 2 years acute care hospital experience
- Electronic Health Record (EHR) proficiency
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
