Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in acute care settings including ER, ICU, and Med-Surg units
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes using EMR systems
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with precision
- Monitor patient vital signs and respond to emergency situations promptly
- Participate in telehealth consultations when assigned to remote-friendly rotations
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and facility-specific protocols
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing (Compact License preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in specialty area
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS/NRP for pediatrics)
- Proficiency in EMR systems (Epic, Cerner, etc.)
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Flexibility to work 12-hour shifts including nights/weekends
- Ability to adapt quickly to new clinical environments
- Travel nursing experience preferred but not required
