Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Operate advanced diagnostic equipment including ECG monitors, pulse oximeters, and vital sign monitors
- Triage patients based on medical urgency and department capacity
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate patient flow
- Document assessments and interventions in Epic EHR system with precision
- Provide emergency medical interventions within scope of practice
- Maintain inventory and functionality of triage equipment
Qualifications
- Active California RN license
- Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience
- ACLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency with ESI triage protocols
- Expertise in operating diagnostic monitoring equipment
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Strong communication abilities in high-stress situations
- Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
