Responsibilities
- Assess patient conditions via telehealth and in-person triage to determine medical urgency
- Collaborate with physicians to develop appropriate care pathways and treatment plans
- Document patient interactions accurately in EHR systems while maintaining HIPAA compliance
- Provide clear, compassionate communication to patients and families during stressful situations
- Monitor patient flow and resource allocation to optimize department efficiency
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and staff training
Qualifications
- Current Kentucky RN license with unrestricted status
- Minimum 3 years clinical nursing experience in emergency or urgent care settings
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Proficiency in Epic EHR systems and telehealth platforms
- Exceptional critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient populations
- BSN degree preferred (ADN candidates with 5+ years experience considered)
