Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using established triage protocols
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers during critical situations
- Document patient encounters accurately in EMR systems with meticulous attention to detail
- Collaborate with physicians to determine appropriate care pathways and discharge plans
- Monitor patient conditions and respond rapidly to changes in status
- Provide education to patients regarding self-care and preventive measures
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of emergency department or urgent care experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to remain calm under pressure in high-stress situations
