Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments using ESI (Emergency Severity Index) protocols
- Prioritize patients based on acuity levels and department capacity
- Collaborate with physicians to initiate critical interventions
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and documentation
- Provide patient education and discharge planning guidance
- Lead crisis response protocols during mass casualty incidents
- Mentor junior staff and optimize triage workflows
Qualifications
- Active NY RN license with 3+ years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- BSN or MSN degree preferred
- Expertise in ESI triage methodologies
- Exceptional critical thinking and communication skills
- Experience with Epic or Cerner EHR systems
- Spanish language proficiency highly valued
