Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments via phone or telehealth to determine the urgency of care needs.
- Apply critical thinking skills to triage incoming complaints and direct patients to the appropriate care settings.
- Document patient interactions accurately and in compliance with HIPAA regulations and EMR systems.
- Collaborate with physicians and advanced practice providers to facilitate seamless patient referrals.
- Provide patient education and counseling regarding health maintenance and symptom management.
- Monitor and escalate high-priority cases to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience, with at least 1 year in a triage or call center setting preferred.
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required; CEN (Certified Emergency Nurse) preferred.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to de-escalate sensitive situations and demonstrate empathy.
- Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and telehealth platforms.
