Responsibilities
- Perform rapid patient assessments using triage protocols and provided equipment
- Interpret diagnostic results (EKGs, labs) and prioritize care based on acuity
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Maintain accurate documentation in Epic EHR system
- Provide patient education on emergency care pathways
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Respond to mass casualty incidents using provided emergency equipment
Qualifications
- Current NY RN license with minimum 2 years ER experience
- BLS, ACLS, and TNCC certifications required
- Experience with electronic health records (Epic preferred)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure trauma environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Knowledge of JCAHO and EMTALA standards
- BSN preferred or commitment to obtain within 1 year
