Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive telephone triage assessments for incoming patient inquiries and medical requests.
- Apply critical thinking and clinical protocols to evaluate symptoms and determine appropriate level of care.
- Document patient interactions accurately and securely in the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurse practitioners, and other care team members to ensure patient safety.
- Provide clear, empathetic education to patients regarding medications, treatment plans, and follow-up instructions.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a triage or urgent care setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Proficiency in using electronic medical records and triage software.
