Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms via phone and digital triage systems to determine urgency level
- Collaborate with physicians and ER teams to prioritize critical cases
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems
- Educate callers on appropriate care pathways and home management
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and emergency protocols
- Participate in bi-weekly training modules to enhance triage expertise
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Minnesota (or compact state)
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (ER/urgent care preferred)
- BLS certification (required) and ACLS (preferred)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to work under pressure with emotional intelligence
- Proficiency in electronic health records (Epic/EMR)
- Valid Minnesota driver's license for occasional travel
