Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and prioritize medical urgency using standardized protocols
- Provide accurate clinical advice via phone and telehealth platforms
- Collaborate with physicians and ER staff to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records and documentation
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and home management
- Manage high-pressure situations with calm professionalism
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Michigan (or willingness to obtain immediately)
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (ER/Telehealth preferred)
- BLS certification required (ACLS preferred)
- Exceptional communication and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including nights/weekends
- Proficient in electronic medical record systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities under pressure
