Responsibilities
- Assess patient symptoms and medical histories to determine urgency of care
- Provide telephone triage for incoming patient calls and virtual consultations
- Collaborate with physicians and care teams to prioritize patient flow
- Document patient interactions accurately in EMR systems
- Educate patients on appropriate care pathways and home management
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA and hospital protocols
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications
- Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state
- Minimum 1 year clinical nursing experience (ER preferred)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (or obtainable during training)
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and de-escalation skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems
- Ability to work rotating shifts including nights/weekends
- Commitment to completing our paid training program
