Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive phone and online patient assessments to determine the severity of symptoms and appropriate level of care.
- Utilize TriageMate and EMR software to document patient interactions, medical history, and care plans accurately.
- Educate patients on self-care instructions, medication management, and preventive health measures.
- Make clinical referrals to appropriate specialists, urgent care centers, or emergency departments as needed.
- Collaborate with physicians and care managers to ensure continuity of care for complex cases.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and clinical protocols during every interaction.
- Manage high call volumes efficiently while maintaining a calm and empathetic demeanor.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license to practice in the State of Tennessee.
- Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a clinic or triage setting.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong computer literacy, specifically experience with EMR systems (EPIC or similar) and telehealth platforms.
- Excellent verbal communication skills and the ability to de-escalate tense situations.
- Detail-oriented with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while adhering to strict quality metrics.
