Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient acuity in the emergency department using established triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop effective care plans
- Perform rapid patient evaluations, including vital sign analysis and symptom assessment
- Initiate emergency interventions based on patient condition and established protocols
- Maintain accurate electronic health records with detailed clinical documentation
- Provide clear communication to patients, families, and healthcare staff regarding care plans
- Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and emergency department operations
Qualifications
- Current California RN license with minimum 2 years emergency department experience
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with significant ED experience considered
- Strong clinical assessment skills with demonstrated critical thinking abilities
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems (EPIC preferred)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- Spanish bilingual skills highly desirable
