Responsibilities
- Conduct rapid patient assessments to determine acuity levels and prioritize care
- Provide accurate medical advice via telephone triage protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to coordinate patient care
- Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR) documentation
- Monitor and respond to patient vital signs and symptoms
- Educate patients on home care instructions and follow-up procedures
- Manage emergency department flow and bed assignments
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Texas (or compact license)
- Minimum 2 years emergency department or triage experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with electronic health record systems
- Ability to work efficiently in high-pressure environments
